Raspberry Bogland
The bogs may not be your first choice of a weekend trip but they are beautiful. Full of depth and texture, this painting reminds me of the time my parents pretended going to the bog to collect the sods of turf was even better than going to the beach. I asked if I could take my shoes off when I got there (I lasted 5 minutes in the prickly ground).
I don’t remember all the subsequent beach trips, but I remember the bog.
